Getting prices on the MSD"s and nobody offers  warrant, lot of money to spend and 3 months later it's crap. Any suggestions of other brands that offer a warranty and is of good quality?

As Stuey’s link points out, it’s a 1 year warranty now.  While I have very few problems with MSD products, MSD has been very good at taking care of those rare problems that do come up.  Until recently, the original receipt was not required.  I suspect the recent bankruptcy and sale of the company has made them revamp how they deal with warranty issues as a whole.  Prior to the bankruptcy proceedings, counterfeiting of the various MSD products was a major problem but I’ve heard much less about this since the company has gone under new ownership.

I bought one with a year warranty, surprised Autozone wouldn't warranty.

I talked to the MSD people at Charlotte Auto Fair, I don't know if being bought by Holley has anything to do with warranties but the guy at the show assured me all items Holley and MSD were warrantied, don't know why Autozone wouldn't warranty , their price were the same, they give a 10% veteran discount so I could  have saved a few bucks., I'll ask the Aotuzone manager about it.

Thank you, bought it on line from a company that offered a 1 year warranty, since Holley bought MSD maybe auto stores are leery, first item ever from Autozone they would not warranty but I don't think the guy working the phone was all that sharp, I will ask the manager.

Warranties are often handled directly with the manufacturer and not the seller.  I know there are exceptions to that but this is probably the reason for the confusion.
