Im pulling the Y block out of my 1955 T Bird in favor of a more modern driveline. I know very little about Y blocks so I dont know if its a 292 or 312. I do know it has long tube headers and a Blue Thunder aluminum intake with the Ford ECZ-9425-B casting numbers, also has a finned aluminum lifter valley pan. It has a slight knock on startup and fades as it warms up. Will also be selling the Ford O Matic air cooled trans too. Car runs and drives right now. Bought it, trailered it home, and have driven around my neighborhood a couple times. $1000? Pics cant be sent via email. tncoupe@gmail.com Prefer local pickup as you guys know how heavy they are to ship.

I wish I was closer, as it sounds lie a good deal to me.

It's close enough for me but I don't really have room for another complete engine.

Do you want to sell the parts?  I'm interested in the intake and headers.

Interesting.. nobody argued with him about pulling the Y-Block driveline. Wonder what he had in mind for a "modern driveline?  Another 289-302 maybe?

Yes, a .030 over 302 with an Edelbrock E Street top end kit with a 600 Holley and a C4 or an AOD. Havent decided yet.
