Just got back from the engine builder's after seeing my engine run on the dyno. Here is where I break into my happy dance. After what seems like a long time, the engine project is done. I will pick it up Monday.

That engine sounds good. What was the rpm band for that particular dyno pull?

That engine sounds good. What was the rpm band for that particular dyno pull? Ted I believe that Tony ran the engine from 2500 to 6000 (it may have been 5800 or 5900). If you listen close you can hear that has a little plateau before heading on up to 6000. The horsepower numbers were the same for carb and the EFI but the torque number were a little better with the EFI. The comupter only has a few runs on it so it is still in learning mode. Cold start up was just what you would expect from an EFI system. I was thinking that the Isky Y-280-11 cam would have given a more lumpy idle than it has. Also the engine exhaust is running through 2 1/2" tubing and out some Flow Master 40s. I think this will be a very good engine for the '56 F-100.

Which EFI are you using?

Charlie, I am using Edlebrock's Throttle Body EFI (P/N 36000). It was real easy to set up. Only took about 90 minutes total.

I picked up my engine on Monday and put in the truck. Not actually bolted between the frame rails but strapped down in the bed. So I have a transverse mounted rear engine Ford F-100.

Great Job! I didn't see numbers though? Can you post a Vid of that happy dance?
