Brings to mind the old AMC ad......."But Dad! I only made it better!" Check out the parts list and the prices paid....those were the days!

I love it. I bet the scrubby crowds heads about spun off when they seen that. A definite improvement.

A good friend who had helped me at Bonneville purchased a 1958 Corvette with a 428 Cobra Jet Ford engine at an auction. It had been a drag car. He sold the Ford engine and installed a 468 BBC and did not run as fast as he wanted. He remove the BBC, sold it to a boat guy, installed a Keith Black aluminum Chrysler, and made the speed he wanted. In Modifed Sports class it didn't matter what engine you used.... I love stories like this. PS: He sold the Ford engine for more than he bought the car at auction.

Friend of mine had a '55 scruby with a 289 Ford in it back in the late '60's. Was competitive with it and drove the scruby guys nuts.
