I read an Post a while back on drilling a hole in the front of the block on the outer edge of the Camshft Sprocket to lube the timing chain. I can't find the search function to try to find it. Two questions:
1. Can some one please direct me to the Post?
2. Is there no search function?

look carefully I believe there is a groove from the 60 thou hole down.

B.J.; As noted, most of the concern in this area is related to engines with the pressurized rocker mods. The concern being that the timing chain & distributor gear may not get enough oil..

Thanks guys & I am running pressurized rockers. The post I'm looking for was drilling a hole towards the head on the drivers side of the block (said there was an oil gallery there?) on the outer edge of the Cam gear. The person was discussing the MOD with Ted. Ted says there will be enough oil with out either Mod but I thought since the timing cover is off I'd drill the hole and know there's no problem. This is not the post I was talking about. http://yblockguy.com/techtips/oiling_mods.html I don't have the drip rail and not sure how to make or place it.
