Can anyone tell me where I can get the spacer and oil slinger for the 292 crankshaft - most pictures show a spacer, and some a slinger? Purchased a rebuilt 292 and it did not have a spacer and slinger - seems that I would need one.

Lawrence. In looking at the exploded view of the crankshaft and related parts in the parts catalogue, are you confusing the front seal for the spacer you think you need? On the picture below, the front seal is part #6700.

Lawrence. I have an extra front crankshaft oil slinger. If you’ll send me your shipping address, I’ll send it to you. My contact information is at www.eatonbalancing.com .

Better take Ted up on his offer.I recently put a 312 together without the slinger(because I didnt have it) and modern seals notwithstanding, it leaked.Pulled the front cover, installed the slinger another forum member was kind enough to send me and no more leak.Dont forget to check for a groove worn in the balancer sleeve while you are in there.Timken part # for the repair sleeve is 88187
