The ATI damper that’s specific for the Y ends up with an installed single groove pulley being spaced ~ ¼ inch further forward which mandates spacing the water pump and alternator (or generator if that is the case) a similar amount. The pulley pattern is the GM three bolt pattern so there are plenty of pulleys, both OEM and aftermarket, available for that pattern. For the drag cars that are not driving any accessories off of the damper, spacing for the pulleys will obviously not be a problem. The ATI damper for the LT1 engines have a longer snout but I can’t say if the snout is long enough to clear the stock Y cover. I’ve been using the LT1 damper with the marine cover which requires the damper snout to be shortened quite a bit to get the damper as close as possible to the engine.
I’m not a fan of the liquid filled dampers but there is one out there available for the T-Bird engines. I can't say if that particular damper is SFI rated or not. And the spacing of the pulleys on that damper is still a problem for the car and truck engines.
