Gil Baumgartner, Classic Thunderbird Club International Authenticity Chairman,  has completed his latest research on ZDDP additives and our flat tappet engines. Anyone in the classic car hobby should read this valuable report. Gil has posted it on Gil's Garage under Engine Oils-Part 2. The site can be accessed at www.tbirdsbygil.com. Excellent source Mark, now I feel alot better using mobil 1  15/50 extended performance with the zddp rating of ( 1200).Smile

Latest "Skinned Knuckles Mag." has article that tries to de-bunk "Starburst" antique-use concerns. Personally, I am not convinced by "industry-handmaiden" (API) consolations, as corporate-oil ethics are always suspect.
