The black print is not really black, more of a gray and it's hard for these old eyes.  I have noticed this on other sites, so it may not be a site problem.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the colors and black stand out more?

I don't but will be interested in being able to make it easier to read.

Just a bit of help.

If you hold down the Ctrl key and rotate your mouse wheel - if your mouse has one - it will increase and decrease the size of the display. The print does get larger and is a bit easier to read.

If you don't have a mouse wheel then hold down the Ctrl key and tap the + or - key. That should also do the same thing.

Several sites have wide borders and small/light print in the middle. I use this all the time to blow up the size of the print.

Thanks, but that doesn't really help much.  I sure wish there was something that can be done.  I often get headaches trying to read the faded print with these old eyes.  A couple of guys who post here have nice dark print and it is a joy to read their posts.  This is the worst site I visit in this regard.  I just noticed as I type this, the print is somewhat darker, but when I post, it gets very dim again.

If you want to make what YOU type easier to read, highlight your text and click on the capital B above

If you use the font dropdown and pick impact it makes it darker while I type this/ lets see if it works.

Then use the size to make it bigger and easer to read.

I've been darkening my print manually so it is easier to see. Doesn't help me to see yours any better tho.Smooooth

How have you been darkening the print, the font colour box above only shows colours?

I just had my grand daughter change my computer and now the screen is black with white text, much easier to read.  Don't ask me what she did, I have no idea.

A bit of a hack, but I think it would help everyone including myself. If the site admins were go to the file skins/classic/styles/theme.css on the web server, and change 888888 to 000000 it would be awesome. In particular, these lines:

.TableCell_Light {color:#000000;background-color:#FFFFFF;opacity:1;font-family:Arial;font-size:12pt;}
.TableCell_Dark {color:#000000;background-color:#EEEEEE;opacity:1;font-family:Arial;font-size:12pt;}
.TableCell_Medium {color:#000000;background-color:#EDF7FF;opacity:1;font-family:Arial;font-size:12pt;}
.TableCell_Highlight {color:#000000;background-color:#FDFFDB;opacity:1;font-family:Arial;font-size:12pt;}

Where I've already done the substitution. That just puts in black text in what appears to be the correct places. Enough already with "graphics designers" who forget that people are supposed to read this, instead of looking pretty from across the room  Smile  (Referring to the forum vendor, not to our beloved YBF admins.) Hope this helps. It worked for me in a live-edit on my browser. No guarantees, and always be sure to back up first.

Click on the "A" in the menu bar above the "Size" box and drag the circle in the large box down to the darkness you desire. You can change the color also.

Ahh. But can she get the wheels of your 57 off the ground?

Do you have to do this on each post?

Thanks
