Ye ha!!

I think it's Caltracs, and Jerry Christianson wrote an article in the Y block Magazine a couple issues ago. everybody seems to like them. I have not run them so I can't comment.

I have Cal-Tracs and they do not make a dramatic difference on the street with radials, except less wheel hop with a ton of wheel spin, but at the track with warmed up Mickey Thomson ET Streets, it does not spin at all. I have droped the clutch at 4000 rpm with a blown 337 Y block and it would jump off the line(I have a broken crank and split block to prove it) I had some sixty footers in the 1.8 range which is great for a full street car.

Do not expect them to fix your traction problem on the street or track until you have some sticky tires.

Some times i see bunny hop in cars, more so with lowering blocks*,poor shocks**,and also if spring clamps on front part of leafs have opened up***. Bars that bolt to the "U" bolts and run up front near the spring eye do a fairly good job when adjusted right.BigGrin

Some tricks we used that worked;added  lots of hose clamps to front leaf spring for a day at the strip, also adjusted tire psi,a little less in one side then the other can make it come off straiter if ya get it rite.
